Training in progress; I was allowing the cpc-it to control the situation. First aircraft had landed on the runway and was rolling out. Second aircraft on short final to same runway; very close behind. Amass alerted to send second aircraft around. Recommendation; be more aggressive with cpc-it about making a decision earlier.
