Narrative:

The altimeter setting was entered incorrectly from the new ATIS given by ATC over the radio (approach controller). The altimeter was entered 30.38; the correct setting should have been 29.38. ATC advised a low altitude alert; the crew corrected the altitude; and altimeter setting. The crew was at the time of the alert in VFR conditions and continued with a visual approach to runway 24 at grb.
