Narrative:

After parking at the gate in our aircraft and the parking checklist was completed, we felt a bump under the nose of the aircraft. The captain looked out his window and said that the tug had run underneath the nose and struck the aircraft. The captain did not feel the situation called for an emergency evacuate/evacuation. He then noticed the jetway had stopped approximately 18' from the aircraft, so he told the jetway driver to pull the jetway up to the plane so the passengers could deplane. The driver refused. The captain then called the ramp supervisor and advised them of the situation and that the jetway needed to be put up to the aircraft. A supervisor arrived about 3 minutes later, moved the jetway, and the passengers deplaned. The safety issue, as I see it, is fact that the jetway driver should have moved the jetway to the plane when the captain originally requested it.

Title: TUG STRUCK ACR LGT PARKED AT GATE THEN AGENT REFUSED TO MOVE JEYWAY TO ACFT SO PASSENGERS COULD DEPLANE.

Narrative: AFTER PARKING AT THE GATE IN OUR ACFT AND THE PARKING CHKLIST WAS COMPLETED, WE FELT A BUMP UNDER THE NOSE OF THE ACFT. THE CAPT LOOKED OUT HIS WINDOW AND SAID THAT THE TUG HAD RUN UNDERNEATH THE NOSE AND STRUCK THE ACFT. THE CAPT DID NOT FEEL THE SITUATION CALLED FOR AN EMER EVAC. HE THEN NOTICED THE JETWAY HAD STOPPED APPROX 18' FROM THE ACFT, SO HE TOLD THE JETWAY DRIVER TO PULL THE JETWAY UP TO THE PLANE SO THE PAXS COULD DEPLANE. THE DRIVER REFUSED. THE CAPT THEN CALLED THE RAMP SUPVR AND ADVISED THEM OF THE SITUATION AND THAT THE JETWAY NEEDED TO BE PUT UP TO THE ACFT. A SUPVR ARRIVED ABOUT 3 MINUTES LATER, MOVED THE JETWAY, AND THE PAXS DEPLANED. THE SAFETY ISSUE, AS I SEE IT, IS FACT THAT THE JETWAY DRIVER SHOULD HAVE MOVED THE JETWAY TO THE PLANE WHEN THE CAPT ORIGINALLY REQUESTED IT.
