Narrative:
We were performing a post c-check maintenance test flight on an md-10-30 aircraft . During the test flight; during normal engine shutdown/restart procedures; the number one engine failed to relight. After several unsuccessful restart attempts; we performed the appropriate emergency checklists and at 70 miles north of our destination declared an emergency. We landed uneventfully.
