Narrative:
[We] encountered numerous EICAS warnings; cautions; and advisories along with several status messages all of which were unrelated to one another. Suspected water in electronic compartment and returned to airport. [We] landed at 205;100 pounds.maintenance found evidence of water in electronic compartment; possibly from pallets loaded on main cargo deck. Airport had rain in the early evening but it was not raining when crew showed for flight.

Title: A B757-200 flight crew; suspecting water in the Electronics Compartment due to heavy rains during the aircraft's layover; returned to its departure airport when multiple unrelated EICAS Warnings; Cautions Status and Advisories messages were displayed shortly after takeoff.
