Narrative:
Opened the # 1 engine left-hand engine cowl and thrust reverser (T/right) on an md-11 aircraft at gate XXX for hanger crew to remove and replace (right/right) the # 1 engine integrated drive generator (idg). Did not pull and collar the circuit breakers called out in the aircraft maintenance manual (amm) 71-10-00-2-1. Was working other gates and also right after cowling was opened; hanger mechanics showed up and I gave them a turnover and forgot to pull and collar circuit breakers. I was working other gates that night; things were hectic and [I] was going back and forth to other aircraft. I did miss pulling and collaring the circuit breakers. I think if one is assigned to work an out of service (OTS) aircraft; you should be relieved of all other gates. We normally work with a shortage of manpower.
