Narrative:
Just before the 80 KT call we felt a loss of thrust on the right side accompanied by a loud bang and airframe vibrations. We accomplished the rejected takeoff memory items; cleared the runway and taxied back to the gate uneventfully. After rejecting the takeoff; tower informed us that flames were observed coming out of our right engine but they were no longer present. Fire crews were at the gate.
