Narrative:
Descending out of FL310 we encountered an ECAM warn for an oil clog on eng number 1. We complied with ECAM protocols and QRH procedures. Number 1 engine was subsequently shut down and an emergency was declared. All relevant checklists were completed and I took control of the aircraft on final and landed uneventfully.
