Narrative:
I was replacing the nose gear actuator door in accordance with gulfstream's computerized maintenance program (cmp). After removal and installation; the task card required a [landing] gear swing. The gear swing according to the maintenance manual was not accomplished because the maintenance manager said the cycling of the [nose] landing gear doors is good enough. The aircraft was released from maintenance without completing step-east (5) of the gulfstream cmp card; chapter 32-30-61.
