Narrative:
During pushback and at completion of starting right engine, we experienced complete electrical failure. Tug was already disconnected. As we were unable to establish other than emergency power, I recalled ground man. I requested a tow to gate, which had been assigned by ramp control. Both engines were left running at maintenance request and tug was reconnected. During tow, tug became positioned to the right side of aircraft. Ground man requested that I taxi aircraft to the gate, but I declined due to electrical problem. Shortly thereafter, tug struck aircraft. Then I was asked to shut down engines, and we were towed to gate.
