Narrative:
Prior to intercepting final approach, the first officer's HSI (pictorial navigation display) went black. The captain's was rendered useless. Both navigation computers lost all memory. No on board cause could be found. After landing IRS's were re-aligned and operated normally on subsequent flts. I suspect a power surge from electronic plant to be the cause.
