Narrative:

After takeoff; we received a bleed 2 leak message on the EICAS and overhead panel. My captain was flying while I was doing the appropriate checklist. There was no bleed 2 valve close message on the EICAS. We declared an emergency with ATC and shut down engine number 2. The bleed 2 leak message on the EICAS and overhead panel did not go out until right before landing. We notified the company and informed the flight attendant. After we landed; crash fire rescue equipment people on the ground checked out the airplane and said it was ok. We taxied back to the gate with engine number 1; a bleed 2 leak message with a leak inscription on the overhead panel.
