Narrative:
After push back and disconnect in lax; I attempted to taxi the aircraft but could not get aircraft to move despite using the most power allowed per procedure. Apparently there is a hole or depression in the asphalt that is well known to the ramp tower but perhaps not our push crews. This is dangerous as a crew unfamiliar or distracted could use too much power and damage equipment or seriously injure someone. This needs to be repaired or a disconnect spot painted on the ramp.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: Air carrier flight crew reports a depression in the C9 Alley way near Spot 2 at LAX; that traps a stationary aircraft preventing it from moving with maximum allowable congested area thrust.
