Narrative:
[I was] arriving in dfw via the cedar creek arrival to land on 17L. I reselected 17L and did not know it caused a discontinuity after dietz. Aircraft did not turn north so my first officer immediately turned right to get back on course. I was unaware that the arrival would drop off when reselecting a runway in dfw. I need to pay attention.
