Narrative:
Small aircraft had been sitting up in hangar for a long period of time. I began making what repairs I could legally do and had others performed by a & P's. After airplane was airworthy, I flew plane to test it out and to check out radios. Plane was run up first and checked over by a & P. His opinion was it was ok. Radios were found to be defective. I flew the plane to a nearby airport for radio repair. Radio was removed and put in for repairs. I was loaned a portable transceiver for operation. While returning to home base I performed some aerial photos and returned to base. Through all this I began to review the log books for the repair entries to be made. I discovered I had inadvertently flown the plane while it was out of annual. I immediately grounded the plane and put it in shop for repair and to renew annual.
