Completed taxi to gate X at den. Just before engine shut down, ingested 2' maintenance ladder into #1 engine. The ladder had been left on a snow bank under the jetway 6' in front of the engine inlet.

Narrative: COMPLETED TAXI TO GATE X AT DEN. JUST BEFORE ENG SHUT DOWN, INGESTED 2' MAINT LADDER INTO #1 ENG. THE LADDER HAD BEEN LEFT ON A SNOW BANK UNDER THE JETWAY 6' IN FRONT OF THE ENG INLET.
