Narrative:
Control column seemed a little stiffer than normal on rotation during takeoff; but not unsafe. During landing; control column seemed to stop at a point during flare while arresting the descent prior to touchdown. I had to add significant additional back pressure; and the column freed and the flare was completed. Touchdown was normal. Writeup was made in the maintenance log.

Title: A B757 Captain reported the control column stiff on takeoff; but binding during land which required significant force to overcome in the flare.
Narrative: Control column seemed a little stiffer than normal on rotation during takeoff; but not unsafe. During landing; control column seemed to stop at a point during flare while arresting the descent prior to touchdown.
