Narrative:
We were cleared into position on the runway and to expect an immediate takeoff. Just as we pulled up to the runway, tower asked us to hold short. We were already past the hold short line and the forward part of the aircraft was on the runway. We notified the tower and he requested the landing aircraft to go around. The approaching aircraft was approximately 1/2-1 mi out. No problem, but the controller should just slow down.

Title: AFTER CLEARING MLG FOR TKOF, CTLR CANCELLED CLRNC AND INSTRUCTED MLG TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY FOR LNDG TRAFFIC. THE MLG WAS PAST THE HOLD AND ADVISED THE CTLR. THE LNDG ACFT WAS GIVEN A GO AROUND.
Narrative: WE WERE CLRED INTO POS ON THE RWY AND TO EXPECT AN IMMEDIATE TKOF. JUST AS WE PULLED UP TO THE RWY, TWR ASKED US TO HOLD SHORT. WE WERE ALREADY PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINE AND THE FORWARD PART OF THE ACFT WAS ON THE RWY. WE NOTIFIED THE TWR AND HE REQUESTED THE LNDG ACFT TO GO AROUND. THE APCHING ACFT WAS APPROX 1/2-1 MI OUT. NO PROB, BUT THE CTLR SHOULD JUST SLOW DOWN.
