Narrative:
An E145 cleared visual approach to runway 18L. A B1900 cleared visual approach to runway 18R; neither aircraft was issued the 30 degree intercept at the time of the approach clearance. There was no loss of separation. We do away with the 30 degree intercept rule.

Title: TUL Controller acknowledged his/her failure to utilize the required thirty degree intercept heading during side-by visual approach procedures; the reporter suggesting the elimination of the intercept requirement.
Narrative: An E145 cleared visual approach to Runway 18L. A B1900 cleared visual approach to Runway 18R; neither aircraft was issued the 30 degree intercept at the time of the approach clearance. There was no loss of separation. We do away with the 30 degree intercept rule.
