Narrative:
Started to roll runway 04. Gross weight 471,379 #, temperature 76 degrees F. At approximately 50 KTS 'engine fail' light illuminated. We aborted with little brake application. After 180 degree turn we stopped and did a full power runup also engaging automatic throttles. All engine indications normal. Passengers were kept completely informed. Taxied back for takeoff runway 04. At approximately 2500' engine fire light and bell indicated fire on #2 engine. #2 throttle retarded and fire light extinguished. Advised departure we were dumping fuel and returning to ppt. Requested fire equipment to standby for our landing. We landed at maximum landing weight 403,000 #. T/D at 170 KTS (flaps 35 degree reference plus 10 KTS). Normal T/D and normal braking. Taxied to gate and was advised we had fire on left aft truck and center truck. Fire department quickly put out fire. After contacting houston control with 'captain's irregularity report' and speaking with maintenance control with above information we were informed flight was cancelled. Above flight also had acm air carrier inspector from chicago office.
