Narrative:
After landing on runway 28 at cle I was instructed by tower to make a left turn on runway 18 and contact ground control. I did exactly that. In contact with ground control I was told to taxi down runway 18 and make a right turn on runway 23R, and then a right turn on romeo taxiway and to taxi to the ramp. I failed to notice in my taxi, runway 23R, as I approached it and inadvertently went past runway 23R, almost onto runway 23L which had traffic rolling out on it. An alert ground controller advised me to hold my position just before I rolled onto runway 23L where the other traffic was rolling out. I mistook runway 23L for runway 23R. Corrective action: I feel that if there were illuminated signs at the point where runway 18 intersects runway 23 left and right, this problem could have been prevented.

Title: REPORTER BECAME SOMEWHAT DISORIENTED DURING TAXI. AS A RESULT HE DEPARTED HIS CLEARED TAXI ROUTE AND NEARLY TAXIED ONTO AN ACTIVE RWY AND INTO THE PATH OF LNDG TRAFFIC.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 28 AT CLE I WAS INSTRUCTED BY TWR TO MAKE A LEFT TURN ON RWY 18 AND CONTACT GND CTL. I DID EXACTLY THAT. IN CONTACT WITH GND CTL I WAS TOLD TO TAXI DOWN RWY 18 AND MAKE A RIGHT TURN ON RWY 23R, AND THEN A RIGHT TURN ON ROMEO TXWY AND TO TAXI TO THE RAMP. I FAILED TO NOTICE IN MY TAXI, RWY 23R, AS I APCHED IT AND INADVERTENTLY WENT PAST RWY 23R, ALMOST ONTO RWY 23L WHICH HAD TFC ROLLING OUT ON IT. AN ALERT GND CTLR ADVISED ME TO HOLD MY POS JUST BEFORE I ROLLED ONTO RWY 23L WHERE THE OTHER TFC WAS ROLLING OUT. I MISTOOK RWY 23L FOR RWY 23R. CORRECTIVE ACTION: I FEEL THAT IF THERE WERE ILLUMINATED SIGNS AT THE POINT WHERE RWY 18 INTERSECTS RWY 23 LEFT AND RIGHT, THIS PROB COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED.
