Narrative:
Shortly after takeoff; we encountered fairly significant wake turbulence from the aircraft in front of us. While recovering from this we turned on course. As we began our turn on the departure; we were queried by ATC to see if we were turning to the fix. We acknowledged that we were and ATC said okay. At no time did I think that we had exceeded any lateral boundaries of the departure and never did ATC mention to us that we had.
