Narrative:

On approach for landing the tower gave us traffic information for an aircraft landing on the parallel runway. It was hazy and we were unable to spot the traffic. I stayed to the left side of the localizer and we asked the tower again for the traffic's location. When we finally were able to see the aircraft in question, he was a little higher than us and no more than 200' of lateral sep. It was a small small aircraft and hard to see. This is not a safe operation in my opinion. If I'd been a little right of course and the small aircraft a little left, our tracks would have merged.
