Narrative:
Student pilot overburned while we were at 3900' MSL causing incursion into kansas city terminal control area. To 4300' MSL (floor was 4000 MSL in this area). May have violated minimum altitude during landing phase while looking for place to land. Corrective action: descended immediately, climbed to 500' for another attempt approach. Advised student of proper procedures.

Title: BALLOON UNAUTH PENETRATION OF AIRSPACE.
Narrative: STUDENT PLT OVERBURNED WHILE WE WERE AT 3900' MSL CAUSING INCURSION INTO KANSAS CITY TERMINAL CTL AREA. TO 4300' MSL (FLOOR WAS 4000 MSL IN THIS AREA). MAY HAVE VIOLATED MINIMUM ALT DURING LNDG PHASE WHILE LOOKING FOR PLACE TO LAND. CORRECTIVE ACTION: DSNDED IMMEDIATELY, CLBED TO 500' FOR ANOTHER ATTEMPT APCH. ADVISED STUDENT OF PROPER PROCS.
