Narrative:
Boarding for passengers in eyw has some potential hazards.passengers leave the terminal and pass the regional aircraft on the way to our aircraft. The first boarding group has an escort. However; the following groups are left to wander across the ramp [unescorted]. On several occasions; I witnessed the regionals ready to taxi out across the ramp while our passengers were still trickling out from the terminal to our plane with a dazed look on their face.these passengers are not used to spinning props they are invisible to them. I see a serious accident waiting to happen on the ramp. We need better supervision on the ramp.
