Narrative:
Upon switching from an exhausted fuel tank, engine did not restart. Glided to a landing at davis university airport struck a low chicken wire fence and associated steel stakes. Dents to leading edge of both wings and underbelly. No damage to landing gear, no injuries. Came to rest 30 feet from the numbers of the runway. Did not utilize the electric boost fuel pump which may have restarted the engine. Did not switch to the full tank soon enough to avoid stopping of the engine.
