Analyst's abbreviated text: *instrument turned in report on his student who was on his first solo x-country from 29G to mfd. Student had been briefed and checked on route to fly and location of arsa's and cle TCA. Also briefed on the altitude to fly so as to stay under outer ring of cle TCA. Was told to use 1g3 as a starting point on his line to mfd. Student disregarded all of the instrument's advice. Became disorientated and was north of course when he penetrated the cle TCA. Instrument has no explanation for his actions.

Narrative: ANALYST'S ABBREVIATED TEXT: *INSTR TURNED IN RPT ON HIS STUDENT WHO WAS ON HIS FIRST SOLO X-COUNTRY FROM 29G TO MFD. STUDENT HAD BEEN BRIEFED AND CHKED ON ROUTE TO FLY AND LOCATION OF ARSA'S AND CLE TCA. ALSO BRIEFED ON THE ALT TO FLY SO AS TO STAY UNDER OUTER RING OF CLE TCA. WAS TOLD TO USE 1G3 AS A STARTING POINT ON HIS LINE TO MFD. STUDENT DISREGARDED ALL OF THE INSTR'S ADVICE. BECAME DISORIENTATED AND WAS N OF COURSE WHEN HE PENETRATED THE CLE TCA. INSTR HAS NO EXPLANATION FOR HIS ACTIONS.
