Narrative:
While taxiing out for takeoff I called for flaps 15. First officer set flaps 15. While doing the takeoff check, first officer finds flap handle in 15, inboard flaps 0, outboard flaps 15. A visual check confirmed inboard flaps were up 0, outboard flaps 15, leading edge devices extended. Recycling the flap handle produced normal flaps inboard 15, outboard 15, leading edge devices extended. Recycling the flap handle between 0 and 15 several times continued to produce normal flaps. A visual check confirmed flaps, inboard 15, outboard 15, leading edge devices extended. No further problems encountered. A logbook entry was made.

Title: ASYMMETRICAL FLAP INDICATION ON FLAP INDICATOR AND BY VISUAL CHECK. RECYCLING FLAPS CORRECTED ASYMMETRY.
Narrative: WHILE TAXIING OUT FOR TKOF I CALLED FOR FLAPS 15. F/O SET FLAPS 15. WHILE DOING THE TKOF CHECK, F/O FINDS FLAP HANDLE IN 15, INBOARD FLAPS 0, OUTBOARD FLAPS 15. A VISUAL CHECK CONFIRMED INBOARD FLAPS WERE UP 0, OUTBOARD FLAPS 15, LEADING EDGE DEVICES EXTENDED. RECYCLING THE FLAP HANDLE PRODUCED NORMAL FLAPS INBOARD 15, OUTBOARD 15, LEADING EDGE DEVICES EXTENDED. RECYCLING THE FLAP HANDLE BETWEEN 0 AND 15 SEVERAL TIMES CONTINUED TO PRODUCE NORMAL FLAPS. A VISUAL CHECK CONFIRMED FLAPS, INBOARD 15, OUTBOARD 15, LEADING EDGE DEVICES EXTENDED. NO FURTHER PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED. A LOGBOOK ENTRY WAS MADE.
