Narrative:
Fgt xx handoff was received from ewn low sector at FL220 direct to flo. According to flight progress strip, all information was coordinated with fgt X splitting off from flight while transiting sector and went to myr. At time of handoff to ZJX I was working approximately 11 aircraft in various areas of sector. I checked route of flight to ensure flight was to transit myr low airspace, then made computer entry J (cid) to affect handoff. No sector was idented since I did not know if any sectors were combined at ZJX, so computer made sector selection. By the time I looked again at data tag, handoff had been taken by ZJX, but sector identify was no longer in field east. According to dart run at ZDC aircraft were handed off to xmv high rather than myr low sector. This was because altitude amendment by sector 25 from FL280 to FL220 did not transmit to ZJX. There was no evidence of unsuccessful transfer message at sampson low sector. Fgt X was on myr low frequency prior to entering airspace. The voice call line to ZJX was OTS and d-side said dial line was also OTS. After being relieved from sector after working 2+27 hours of heavy traffic, I was advised of the possible deviation and that there was a possible operational error involving fgt X in ZJX airspace.

Title: COMPUTER HANDOFF ON FGT WAS MADE TO WRONG SECTOR AT ADJACENT FAC, RESULTING IN LESS THAN STANDARD SEPARATION.
Narrative: FGT XX HDOF WAS RECEIVED FROM EWN LOW SECTOR AT FL220 DIRECT TO FLO. ACCORDING TO FLT PROGRESS STRIP, ALL INFO WAS COORDINATED WITH FGT X SPLITTING OFF FROM FLT WHILE TRANSITING SECTOR AND WENT TO MYR. AT TIME OF HDOF TO ZJX I WAS WORKING APPROX 11 ACFT IN VARIOUS AREAS OF SECTOR. I CHKED ROUTE OF FLT TO ENSURE FLT WAS TO TRANSIT MYR LOW AIRSPACE, THEN MADE COMPUTER ENTRY J (CID) TO AFFECT HDOF. NO SECTOR WAS IDENTED SINCE I DID NOT KNOW IF ANY SECTORS WERE COMBINED AT ZJX, SO COMPUTER MADE SECTOR SELECTION. BY THE TIME I LOOKED AGAIN AT DATA TAG, HDOF HAD BEEN TAKEN BY ZJX, BUT SECTOR IDENT WAS NO LONGER IN FIELD E. ACCORDING TO DART RUN AT ZDC ACFT WERE HANDED OFF TO XMV HIGH RATHER THAN MYR LOW SECTOR. THIS WAS BECAUSE ALT AMENDMENT BY SECTOR 25 FROM FL280 TO FL220 DID NOT XMIT TO ZJX. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF UNSUCCESSFUL TRANSFER MESSAGE AT SAMPSON LOW SECTOR. FGT X WAS ON MYR LOW FREQ PRIOR TO ENTERING AIRSPACE. THE VOICE CALL LINE TO ZJX WAS OTS AND D-SIDE SAID DIAL LINE WAS ALSO OTS. AFTER BEING RELIEVED FROM SECTOR AFTER WORKING 2+27 HRS OF HVY TFC, I WAS ADVISED OF THE POSSIBLE DEVIATION AND THAT THERE WAS A POSSIBLE OPERROR INVOLVING FGT X IN ZJX AIRSPACE.
