Narrative:
Navigating VFR from norwood, ma, westward the bradley, ct arsa was inadvertently penetrated at 3500-4000' fly under a 4300' overcast. A nos low altitude chart was being used as the sole means of navigation with the belief that arsa were indicated in the airport information listed next to the airport. Arsa are not always listed. Commercial charts are normally used but were not available for this flight. East of bradley flight following was requested and I was advised of the bradley arsa. The use of VFR charts or flight following from liftoff would have prevented the mistake.
