Narrative:
I followed a friend on climbout from the ashland airport. After level off, I closed in for a picture. I had neglected to tell him beforehand. He didn't notice me until I was breaking away and that startled him. I think he thought it was a near miss, but it wasn't.

Title: PLT OF SMA PULLED UP CLOSE TO ANOTHER SMA FOR THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING A PICTURE. PLT'S FRIEND IN THE OTHER SMA ACFT HAD NOT BEEN FOREWARNED THAT THERE WOULD BE ANOTHER ACFT CLOSE TO HIM AND HE WAS STARTLED.
Narrative: I FOLLOWED A FRIEND ON CLIMBOUT FROM THE ASHLAND ARPT. AFTER LEVEL OFF, I CLOSED IN FOR A PICTURE. I HAD NEGLECTED TO TELL HIM BEFOREHAND. HE DIDN'T NOTICE ME UNTIL I WAS BREAKING AWAY AND THAT STARTLED HIM. I THINK HE THOUGHT IT WAS A NEAR MISS, BUT IT WASN'T.
