Narrative:
Approximately XXXX local time we were under the control of bur approach, transitioning their airspace at 2000' MSL. Approximately 2 mi southeast of bur, approach control turned us over to bur tower. Upon crossing over the threshold of bur's runway 15, we called bur tower and according to standard practice requested a frequency change to whiteman tower. This is necessary at this geographical point due to the fact that bur lies within the air traffic area of whiteman. Upon doing this bur tower called traffic at our 2 O'clock position and another one behind the 2 O'clock traffic. We acknowledged that we had the 2 O'clock traffic and again requested a frequency change. By this time we were approximately abeam the 4 stacks and were in the traffic pattern at whiteman before establishing radio contact with the tower. Upon entering the pattern an small aircraft was crosswind. We passed by the small aircraft about 200' higher and to his right. No evasive action was required, but we altered our heading about 10 degrees to the right. Upon contacting whiteman tower, we found out that there had been no coordination between bur and whiteman towers. Suggestion: bur and whiteman should either improve their communication of transferring aircraft or allow earlier frequency changes.

Title: ACFT ENTERED TRAFFIC PATTERN WITHOUT CONTACTING TWR AND CAME IN CLOSE PROX TO ANOTHER ACFT.
Narrative: APPROX XXXX LCL TIME WE WERE UNDER THE CTL OF BUR APCH, TRANSITIONING THEIR AIRSPACE AT 2000' MSL. APPROX 2 MI SE OF BUR, APCH CTL TURNED US OVER TO BUR TWR. UPON XING OVER THE THRESHOLD OF BUR'S RWY 15, WE CALLED BUR TWR AND ACCORDING TO STANDARD PRACTICE REQUESTED A FREQ CHANGE TO WHITEMAN TWR. THIS IS NECESSARY AT THIS GEOGRAPHICAL POINT DUE TO THE FACT THAT BUR LIES WITHIN THE ATA OF WHITEMAN. UPON DOING THIS BUR TWR CALLED TFC AT OUR 2 O'CLOCK POS AND ANOTHER ONE BEHIND THE 2 O'CLOCK TFC. WE ACKNOWLEDGED THAT WE HAD THE 2 O'CLOCK TFC AND AGAIN REQUESTED A FREQ CHANGE. BY THIS TIME WE WERE APPROX ABEAM THE 4 STACKS AND WERE IN THE TFC PATTERN AT WHITEMAN BEFORE ESTABLISHING RADIO CONTACT WITH THE TWR. UPON ENTERING THE PATTERN AN SMA WAS XWIND. WE PASSED BY THE SMA ABOUT 200' HIGHER AND TO HIS RIGHT. NO EVASIVE ACTION WAS REQUIRED, BUT WE ALTERED OUR HDG ABOUT 10 DEGS TO THE RIGHT. UPON CONTACTING WHITEMAN TWR, WE FOUND OUT THAT THERE HAD BEEN NO COORD BTWN BUR AND WHITEMAN TWRS. SUGGESTION: BUR AND WHITEMAN SHOULD EITHER IMPROVE THEIR COM OF TRANSFERRING ACFT OR ALLOW EARLIER FREQ CHANGES.
