Narrative:
I was in the right seat of the aircraft acting as the first officer. I read back a heading which was assigned to us by the tower after we were airborne. Shortly after that I was instructed by the captain to address a door open light which came on after we rotated. Consequently while my attention was directed toward the back of the aircraft I was unable to monitor the heading flown by the captain. Even though I read back 'left heading 105 degree' the captain misinterpreted it and flew a heading of 005 degree. Neither the tower nor departure control said anything about our erroneous turn until we were well established on a heading of 005 degree.

Title: FLT DEVIATED FROM ASSIGNED HEADING ON DEP.
Narrative: I WAS IN THE RIGHT SEAT OF THE ACFT ACTING AS THE F/O. I READ BACK A HDG WHICH WAS ASSIGNED TO US BY THE TWR AFTER WE WERE AIRBORNE. SHORTLY AFTER THAT I WAS INSTRUCTED BY THE CAPT TO ADDRESS A DOOR OPEN LIGHT WHICH CAME ON AFTER WE ROTATED. CONSEQUENTLY WHILE MY ATTN WAS DIRECTED TOWARD THE BACK OF THE ACFT I WAS UNABLE TO MONITOR THE HDG FLOWN BY THE CAPT. EVEN THOUGH I READ BACK 'LEFT HDG 105 DEG' THE CAPT MISINTERPRETED IT AND FLEW A HDG OF 005 DEG. NEITHER THE TWR NOR DEP CTL SAID ANYTHING ABOUT OUR ERRONEOUS TURN UNTIL WE WERE WELL ESTABLISHED ON A HDG OF 005 DEG.
