Narrative:
During taxi out to runway 13 for takeoff, aircraft taxied onto a new, unknown taxiway en route to 'a' taxiway. During a turn of over 120 degree, aircraft right main landing gear departed paved surface onto soft ground. Taxiway was lighted and appeared en route to parallel taxiway. New taxiway was not depicted on any airport plate or chart. No injuries occurred to passenger or crew. No damage to aircraft. Better taxiway signs would have prevented this incident. Supplemental information from acn 112617: perhaps contributing to this incident was crew fatigue. Duty time up to the occurrence had been about 11 hours. Flight time about 7 hours with an additional 30 minutes to go. The duty day had included flight deviations and ground delays because of thunderstorms on the previous legs of our trip pairing.
