Narrative:
We were in route from ont to dfw on a scheduled flight. Due to thunderstorms in the dfw area, ATC told us to fly from wink VOR to guthry VOR in order to delay our arrival at dfw. We were given a vector of 040 degree until receiving guthry VOR. While in route to guthry the controller issued a new heading to 020 degree in order to delay our arrival at guthry VOR. We were then handed over to the next controller. We checked in with the new controller at FL280. After flying on the assigned heading of 020 degree for approximately 10 mins the controller gave us an immediate turn to 140 degree and an immediate descent first officer FL270. He gave another aircraft a turn to a southerly heading and an immediate climb to FL310. Although the controller did not say anything else to us in regard to this situation, I assume he received a traffic conflict alert. In my opinion, the controller who gave us the assigned heading of 020 degree did not advise the next controller of the new heading. As a result, this controller was required to give us an immediate turn and altitude change in order to avoid a traffic conflict.

Title: LESS THAN STANDARD SEPARATION BETWEEN 2 ACFT BEING VECTORED TOWARD DWF BY ZFW.
Narrative: WE WERE IN ROUTE FROM ONT TO DFW ON A SCHEDULED FLT. DUE TO TSTMS IN THE DFW AREA, ATC TOLD US TO FLY FROM WINK VOR TO GUTHRY VOR IN ORDER TO DELAY OUR ARR AT DFW. WE WERE GIVEN A VECTOR OF 040 DEG UNTIL RECEIVING GUTHRY VOR. WHILE IN ROUTE TO GUTHRY THE CTLR ISSUED A NEW HDG TO 020 DEG IN ORDER TO DELAY OUR ARR AT GUTHRY VOR. WE WERE THEN HANDED OVER TO THE NEXT CTLR. WE CHECKED IN WITH THE NEW CTLR AT FL280. AFTER FLYING ON THE ASSIGNED HDG OF 020 DEG FOR APPROX 10 MINS THE CTLR GAVE US AN IMMEDIATE TURN TO 140 DEG AND AN IMMEDIATE DSCNT FO FL270. HE GAVE ANOTHER ACFT A TURN TO A SOUTHERLY HDG AND AN IMMEDIATE CLIMB TO FL310. ALTHOUGH THE CTLR DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ELSE TO US IN REGARD TO THIS SITUATION, I ASSUME HE RECEIVED A TFC CONFLICT ALERT. IN MY OPINION, THE CTLR WHO GAVE US THE ASSIGNED HDG OF 020 DEG DID NOT ADVISE THE NEXT CTLR OF THE NEW HDG. AS A RESULT, THIS CTLR WAS REQUIRED TO GIVE US AN IMMEDIATE TURN AND ALT CHANGE IN ORDER TO AVOID A TFC CONFLICT.
