Narrative:
While working the ewo lo altitude sector I was advised that R3704 (ft knox) restr area was active from the surface to 10,000' MSL, approximately XX00 am. At approximately XX00 pm we were advised that the restr area was hot to FL200 and had been all day. During the period first officer time we believed the airspace to be inactive we operated an undetermined amount of aircraft through this area. I would estimate a minimum of 10 aircraft violated this airspace. Someone, somewhere got their wires crossed.
