I judged distance of aircraft en route to roc incorrectly and began descent while still in new york center's airspace. Lost separation with aircraft working with new york center.

Narrative: I JUDGED DISTANCE OF ACFT ENRTE TO ROC INCORRECTLY AND BEGAN DESCENT WHILE STILL IN NEW YORK CENTER'S AIRSPACE. LOST SEPARATION WITH ACFT WORKING WITH NEW YORK CENTER.
