Narrative:
Cleared for a visual approach rsw runway 06 about 10 miles out on a right base. Handed off to rsw tower and cleared to land. As we approached the outer marker I saw a TCAS target in close proximity at our 10 o'clock position. The target tuned amber and we got an RA to climb. I disconnected the autopilot and started to climb and saw the traffic very close. We continued the approach and landed. No traffic call was issued by rsw tower. I called approach control on the ground and called the tower supervisor. VFR aircraft from page should have instruction to follow the shoreline.
