Narrative:
After takeoff we had a total failure of the green hydraulic system. We performed all emergency procedures related to that system loss. Performed an emergency landing on the longest runway; stopped; pinned the landing gear and got towed to the gate. Maintenance found a defective hydraulic line.

Title: A319 Captain experiences a Green System hydraulic failure just after takeoff and declares an emergency. ECAM actions are accomplished and flight returns to the departure airport.
Narrative: After takeoff we had a total failure of the Green Hydraulic System. We performed all emergency procedures related to that system loss. Performed an emergency landing on the longest runway; stopped; pinned the landing gear and got towed to the gate. Maintenance found a defective hydraulic line.
