Narrative:
Flying into charlotte we were nearly hit by a drone. We were on a 300 heading descending to 3;000 ft and cleared to join the [runway] 36L localizer. We were about 11 miles out and halfway between [runways] 36L and 36C when I looked up and saw a red and black drone fly roughly 100 ft below us. It had four different propellers or blades and appeared to be moving west to east. Immediately reported it to ATC had no further problems.
