Narrative:
ATC advised me of traffic; a beaver; and asked me to make a wide approach since it was on floats. That made me pass to the left. The beaver was surprised when he saw me; but I had him in visual contact the entire time. He complained on tower frequency and was told to be quiet by ATC. Both flights continued without any consequences.ATC should have told the beaver that I was passing left and had him in sight.

Narrative: ATC advised me of traffic; a Beaver; and asked me to make a wide approach since it was on floats. That made me pass to the left. The Beaver was surprised when he saw me; but I had him in visual contact the entire time. He complained on Tower frequency and was told to be quiet by ATC.
