Narrative:
Communications at jfk are a mess. Called for clearance at XY50 EDT to get out before the aro slot expired and did not get to taxi out for 20 mins. Next, ground control told us to hold short of la intersection on the outer taxiway on the way to runway 31L. We held for 10 mins almost forgotten. Then we are hurriedly told to monitor tower on 125.25 (we are still a 1/2 mi from takeoff position) and to call clearance delivery on 134.05. After we get an amended clearance we situation and wait for the tower to do something with us. Then tower calls us after 10 more mins in a very irritated voice saying that we were not on the correct frequency and to change to 123.9, another tower frequency and monitor. Well, I could not hear any conversation so I called in to make sure I was on the correct frequency, I was. When we were cleared for takeoff, it was XZ10 since I called for clearance, and 6 frequencys later. And :55 past my alo slot. After takeoff no 'over to departure control ' instructions were given and no one on tower would acknowledge us. My point is that with so many frequency changes in such a short time has to be bad management of traffic. Lots of people were 'lost' when all aircraft change to XXX instructions were given. There has to be a better way. The controllers sounded so exasperated I felt they were losing control of the situation. It's the first time I really felt that way in an ATC environment in my 22 years of flying.

Title: FLT CREW OF CORPORATE JET HAD NUMEROUS FREQ CHANGES AND DELAYS DURING TAXI OUT AT JFK.
Narrative: COMS AT JFK ARE A MESS. CALLED FOR CLRNC AT XY50 EDT TO GET OUT BEFORE THE ARO SLOT EXPIRED AND DID NOT GET TO TAXI OUT FOR 20 MINS. NEXT, GND CTL TOLD US TO HOLD SHORT OF LA INTXN ON THE OUTER TXWY ON THE WAY TO RWY 31L. WE HELD FOR 10 MINS ALMOST FORGOTTEN. THEN WE ARE HURRIEDLY TOLD TO MONITOR TWR ON 125.25 (WE ARE STILL A 1/2 MI FROM TKOF POSITION) AND TO CALL CLRNC DELIVERY ON 134.05. AFTER WE GET AN AMENDED CLRNC WE SIT AND WAIT FOR THE TWR TO DO SOMETHING WITH US. THEN TWR CALLS US AFTER 10 MORE MINS IN A VERY IRRITATED VOICE SAYING THAT WE WERE NOT ON THE CORRECT FREQ AND TO CHANGE TO 123.9, ANOTHER TWR FREQ AND MONITOR. WELL, I COULD NOT HEAR ANY CONVERSATION SO I CALLED IN TO MAKE SURE I WAS ON THE CORRECT FREQ, I WAS. WHEN WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF, IT WAS XZ10 SINCE I CALLED FOR CLRNC, AND 6 FREQS LATER. AND :55 PAST MY ALO SLOT. AFTER TKOF NO 'OVER TO DEP CTL ' INSTRUCTIONS WERE GIVEN AND NO ONE ON TWR WOULD ACKNOWLEDGE US. MY POINT IS THAT WITH SO MANY FREQ CHANGES IN SUCH A SHORT TIME HAS TO BE BAD MGMNT OF TFC. LOTS OF PEOPLE WERE 'LOST' WHEN ALL ACFT CHANGE TO XXX INSTRUCTIONS WERE GIVEN. THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY. THE CTLRS SOUNDED SO EXASPERATED I FELT THEY WERE LOSING CONTROL OF THE SITUATION. IT'S THE FIRST TIME I REALLY FELT THAT WAY IN AN ATC ENVIRONMENT IN MY 22 YEARS OF FLYING.
