Narrative:
On downwind to runway 25L at las we were cleared the visual approach. A left turn and descent was initiated toward the final approach course and while on dogleg to final a 'terrain; terrain' was issued by the GPWS. A climb was initiated and once clear of terrain by reference to the nd the approach was resumed.

Title: A319 Flight Crew experiences an EGPWS terrain warning at 6;500 feet while on a night visual approach to LAS Runway 25L from southeast of the airport. An immediate climb is initiated and the approach is continued to a normal landing.
Narrative: On downwind to runway 25L at LAS we were cleared the visual approach.
