Narrative:
At the end of demo; we heard the cleared for departure chime. We immediately started take off as I ran to the back to reach my jumpseat with my equipment in hand. I turned around to secure a door coming open and was thrown against the back galley. I dropped my equipment and immediately tried to secure myself which was hard with the force of take off. We were in the air before I was able to buckle in. I think the flight deck should wait for cabin secure before take off is allowed. I understand though that they have a lot going on as well.
