Narrative:
Controller 'a' on frequency 127.47 gave a climb to FL250 and frequency change to 'B,' 128.65 passing through FL217. The controller asked for altitude we were cleared to. We replied FL250. The controller informed us that the strip showed that we had been cleared to FL210. Controller gave us clearance to FL230 and right turn to 250 degrees. In about 40 seconds the controller gave us FL250 and left turn direct to slt.
