Narrative:
Upon landing touchdown left wing dropped and aircraft swerved to left. Landing configuration was normal for type with 30 degrees flaps. Applied takeoff power and took off. Retracted flaps; climbed to a safe altitude; and determined the left main gear had not extended. All gear indications were normal; i.e. Gear handle was in down position with green light showing. Gear position flag was also indicating gear down. Condition was determined by substantial asymmetric drag and wing drop on first landing. Did not recycle gear. Returned to the airport and landed the aircraft holding the left wing up as long as possible.
