Narrative:
Flight normally operated bwi-phf-orf. The phf-orf portion is normally a positioning flight for maintenance. This night the flight was supposed to terminate at phf for operational reasons. The flight crew was not informed of this in 3 earlier conversations with crew scheduling or 2 conversations with dispatch during the course of this crew (an out and back XA35 to XM00 hours). The flight from bwi-phf was released normally, however the phf-orf segment was not included on the dispatch release and not taken notice of by flight crew. There was no accompanying note on the release to advise of the plan to terminate at phf. The computer line-routing for the aircraft showed the phf-orf segment operating this day. En route to phf the norfolk approach controller asked if we were aware that orf would close at XY30 hours for construction activity. The time was approximately XX35. We indicated we would quick turn at phf and be out prior to XY00. At that time the controller offered to issue our clearance from phf to orf which we accepted. After deplaning passenger and cargo the phf-orf segment was accomplished using a flight number for which we technically were not released for. There were no revenue passenger or cargo on board the aircraft. When we arrived at orf we were advised by company personnel that we were to reposition the aircraft back to phf for a planned morning departure. We would then be ground transported back to orf. We did this part 91 ferry IFR and were able to depart orf before the airport closed. This was day 3 of 5 in a row. The previous 3 days were 8.0 hours duty, 5.0 hours bik, 14.0 hours duty, 4.5 bik and 12.4 duty, 5.5 hours bik. All 3 days involved IFR WX.

Title: FEDERAL AVIATION REG 121 FLT ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT FLT DISPATCH RELEASE DOCUMENTATION.
Narrative: FLT NORMALLY OPERATED BWI-PHF-ORF. THE PHF-ORF PORTION IS NORMALLY A POSITIONING FLT FOR MAINT. THIS NIGHT THE FLT WAS SUPPOSED TO TERMINATE AT PHF FOR OPERATIONAL REASONS. THE FLT CREW WAS NOT INFORMED OF THIS IN 3 EARLIER CONVERSATIONS WITH CREW SCHEDULING OR 2 CONVERSATIONS WITH DISPATCH DURING THE COURSE OF THIS CREW (AN OUT AND BACK XA35 TO XM00 HRS). THE FLT FROM BWI-PHF WAS RELEASED NORMALLY, HOWEVER THE PHF-ORF SEGMENT WAS NOT INCLUDED ON THE DISPATCH RELEASE AND NOT TAKEN NOTICE OF BY FLT CREW. THERE WAS NO ACCOMPANYING NOTE ON THE RELEASE TO ADVISE OF THE PLAN TO TERMINATE AT PHF. THE COMPUTER LINE-ROUTING FOR THE ACFT SHOWED THE PHF-ORF SEGMENT OPERATING THIS DAY. ENRTE TO PHF THE NORFOLK APCH CTLR ASKED IF WE WERE AWARE THAT ORF WOULD CLOSE AT XY30 HRS FOR CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY. THE TIME WAS APPROX XX35. WE INDICATED WE WOULD QUICK TURN AT PHF AND BE OUT PRIOR TO XY00. AT THAT TIME THE CTLR OFFERED TO ISSUE OUR CLRNC FROM PHF TO ORF WHICH WE ACCEPTED. AFTER DEPLANING PAX AND CARGO THE PHF-ORF SEGMENT WAS ACCOMPLISHED USING A FLT NUMBER FOR WHICH WE TECHNICALLY WERE NOT RELEASED FOR. THERE WERE NO REVENUE PAX OR CARGO ON BOARD THE ACFT. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT ORF WE WERE ADVISED BY COMPANY PERSONNEL THAT WE WERE TO REPOSITION THE ACFT BACK TO PHF FOR A PLANNED MORNING DEP. WE WOULD THEN BE GND TRANSPORTED BACK TO ORF. WE DID THIS PART 91 FERRY IFR AND WERE ABLE TO DEPART ORF BEFORE THE ARPT CLOSED. THIS WAS DAY 3 OF 5 IN A ROW. THE PREVIOUS 3 DAYS WERE 8.0 HRS DUTY, 5.0 HRS BIK, 14.0 HRS DUTY, 4.5 BIK AND 12.4 DUTY, 5.5 HRS BIK. ALL 3 DAYS INVOLVED IFR WX.
