Narrative:
[Aircraft] was in a hold at 3;000 feet after leaving the GPS 18 missed approach at airport ZZZ; the pilot noticed aircraft approaching from the north east descending on an approximate heading of 220. Separation 100 feet [vertically] at first sighting and time of 10 seconds or less. Descended to 2900 feet as [other aircraft] passed over top and in front of aircraft.
