Narrative:

Inadvertent application of autobrakes while taxiing onto runway for takeoff, resulting in a sudden stop from 2-3 KTS. SOP states that autobrakes switch should be armed only when the aircraft is stopped because of the possibility of this happened. Had this happened earlier in the taxi, F/a's could have been injured. This is the first time this has happened to me, despite disregarding the SOP warning most of the time, arming the autobrakes at very slow speed. It should be the last time, as I now will pay particular attention to arming the autobrakes only when the aircraft is stopped.
