Narrative:
Just after gear retraction noticed opposite direction small helicopter. Our takeoff clearance '...after departure turn left heading 120 degree, cleared for takeoff.' I remember that tower had communicated with a helicopter, but no other details. If we had initiated turn to 120 degree sooner, things would have been sticky. Tower should have advised us of traffic. I bet they forgot the helicopter who more than likely had been cleared to land.

Narrative: JUST AFTER GEAR RETRACTION NOTICED OPPOSITE DIRECTION SMALL HELI. OUR TKOF CLRNC '...AFTER DEP TURN LEFT HDG 120 DEG, CLRED FOR TKOF.' I REMEMBER THAT TWR HAD COMMUNICATED WITH A HELI, BUT NO OTHER DETAILS. IF WE HAD INITIATED TURN TO 120 DEG SOONER, THINGS WOULD HAVE BEEN STICKY. TWR SHOULD HAVE ADVISED US OF TFC. I BET THEY FORGOT THE HELI WHO MORE THAN LIKELY HAD BEEN CLRED TO LAND.
